Evaluative Materials
The main character had to be a mixture of old and new with a cartoon feel to it because Retro games used loud and bright colours.

Out of the sketches that where drawn to be the main character this is the one that was selected. It is felt that this image had the best look and that it would transform easily from a sketch into a video game graphic.
The sounds where chosen because they had to sound real instead of a synthesized sound for a better sound quality.
The sound track has to be at a fast pace so that the player can get the character across the terrain and to get enthusiastic about the game.
Processes such as brainstorming, sketching, and storyboarding, were key parts to the creation of the games characters and narrative. The idea to make multiple modes to satisfy ludologist and narratologists came from the fact that the author wanted to make a game that has mass appeal that a person can play when they got a lot of time on their hands or when they a quick two minutes of fun.
Out of the tools used in the development stage of the project the design document was one of the most useful. It was created to describe the game in terms of philosophy, content, concept, architecture and game play.
Another useful stage was the background research stage it allowed the author to get a feel for what work had previously been completed with in the selected genre.
